Bharti Enterprises collaborates with Del Monte

CHENNAI: Bharti Enterprises and Philippines-based Del Monte Pacific have joined hands together to initiate a food processing, as well as beverage unit over 21.4 acre of land at Hosur, Tami Nadu.

“The inauguration of the new facility, involving an investment of Rs.115 crore, heralds a new phase of development for Del Monte brand in the processed food and beverages category in India,” said, Rakesh Mittal, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Bharti Enterprises.

The plant would cater to eatables, including ketchups, mustard sauce and mayonnaise amongst the other products. Also, the plant would have a capacity to produce 300 cans of fruit drinks and 200 pet bottles at the average rate of per minute.
