BGR Energy Systems witnesses 33% fall in net profit to Rs 33.56 cr during June quarter

CHENNAI: BGR Energy Systems, an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm, has registered 33% decline in net profit to Rs 33.56 crore in the first quarter ended June 30 as compared to the net profit of Rs 50.25 crore in the same period last year.

The overall income in the June quarter slipped to Rs 610.79 crore as compared to Rs 732.86 crore during the corresponding period last year.
For the year ending March 31, 2012, the net profit was at Rs 223.52 crore and the net income stood at Rs 3,447.05 crore.

As of June 30, 2012, the order book was at more than Rs 15,000 crore of the company.
