BANGALORE: A two-day global aerospace industry meet will be held here from December 10 and overall 100 aerospace companies from India and overseas are expected to participate.
Karnataka's Department of Commerce and Industry is organising the meet, through Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries, Laghu Udyog Bharti, Karnataka Udyog Mitra, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, IMS Foundation and Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
An official statement said, the main idea behind organizing this event is to have a get-together of Indian and overseas aerospace industries and entrepreneurs and R&D personnel and provide forum for interaction for mutual collaboration with the support of state government leveraging the Defence Offset Policy.
There will be various presentations by the Indian and overseas companies.There will also be presentations on Karnataka's achievements and infrastructure for growth of aerospace and defence industries, government support for overseas industries and joint ventures leveraging on ‘Defence Offset Policy 2012’ and growth of industries in aerospace and defence networking MSMEs with major aerospace and defence industries.
