NEW DELHI: Buddha-Bar is planning to set up shop in India with its first restaurant in Delhi. Due to the controversy over its name, the owner of the company has decided to form a new brand for India, called B-Bar.
The restaurant is to be established in 20,000 square feet land at the Select City Walk mall in Delhi's Saket area. The B-Bar will not have the Japanese Buddha statue as other branches of Buddha-Bar across the globe have. Buddha-Bars are the iconic Parisian bar and restaurant chain which can be found in Monte Carlo, Paris, Kiev, London, Monaco, Prague, Budapest, and Washington DC among other cities.
Tarja Visan, co-founder of Buddha-Bar said that Indians are a major clientele for the company across the globe at Buddha-Bars. "We work on requests and, in recent times, many Indians have requested us to open in India”, he added.
