CHENNAI: Ashok Leyland, a commercial vehicle manufacturer, has registered 30.4% rise in sales last month to 9,432 units.
The auto major sold 7,232 units in the same month of last year.
In the five-month period April to August 2012, it said that 46,704 units were sold, witnessing 35.9% jump as compared to 34,343 units in the same period of last year.
The commercial vehicle sales during last month fell by 9% to 6,597 units from 7,218 in the same month last year. The firm sold 33,818 CV sales in the April-August 2012 period as against 34,329 units in the same period last year.
