BEIJING: Apple Inc Chief Executive Tim Cook met with the government officials in Beijing as the consumer electronics firm is looking for expansion in the region.
Cook, who took over over from deceased co-founder Steve Jobs, started his first trip to China after becoming CEO in August last year. Presently, China is considered as the world's largest mobile market and a key growth area for the manufacturers of the iPhone and iPad.
Apple has got deals in place with China Telecom and Unicom for its iPhone in China. Other importabt carriers like China Mobile are eyeing to ink pacts with the California firm.
