HYDERABAD: The agriculture sector of the state has the capability to grow at 9% per annum, which has posted 5.45% growth rate, said the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).
The industry body has released the Andhra Pradesh Vision 2020 and has said that the state has the capability to strengthen the gross state domestic product (GSDP) to cross Rs 6,27,600 crore during the period from the present level of Rs 2,65,000 according to the 2009-2010 estimates.
Mr Dilip Modi, President of ASSOCHAM, said, “The industry in Deccan State has the potential to grow at an annual rate of 11 per cent with contribution of Rs.1,90,000 crore to the GSDP by the end of this decade. To achieve this, Andhra Pradesh will require huge investments by the private sector.”
