HYDERABAD: The state has bagged 233 proposals worth Rs 5,00,057 crore in the CII Partnership Summit 2012, said Ms J Geetha Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Major Industries Minister.
The investment proposals are likely to create employment opportunities in the state. The recommendations cover mega projects, non-mega projects, public sector undertakings and categories include power projects, IT projects, infrastructure projects and tourism projects.
The three-day CII Partnership Summit 2012 is has played host to policy makers and business delegations from various nations such as China, Czech Republic, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Mali, Malaysia, Nigeria, New Zealand, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, UK, US and UAE.
Moreover, Minister for Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma, National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon have been the prominent speakers from India.
The theme of the summit was 'New Age Innovation Partnerships. The state Industries Department has announced the names of the industries and their location along with investments and employment potential.
