NEW DELHI: National carrier Air India is likely to take delivery of three Dreamliner aircraft from Boeing Co by the end of this month, as announced by India's civil aviation minister Ajit Singh.
For the delayed order, the two companies agreed on a compensation package.
The crisis-hit state-owned carrier was supposed to receive the first of 27 Dreamliners by the end of May. The compensation package is now awaiting approval from a group of Indian ministers.
Last month, the minister said that no Dreamliners would be delivered before the agreement of two parties on a compensation package for the delay.
