JERUSALEM: Industry body Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) has organised a Buyer Seller Meet in Tel Aviv, which started from yesterday and slated to end today, with the aim to tap the apparel market of Israel and Middle East region.
For the first time ever, the Council organised such a huge event in the Middle East region. The event was inaugurated by Secretary (Textiles) Kiran Dhingra.
Dr A Sakthivel, chairman AEPC said, “Israel is an important market and with the India- Israel FTA in the anvil, we are hopeful of increased trade between the two countries. AEPC for the first time is organizing a Buyer Seller Meet in Israel to capture not only the Israel apparel market but also $11 billion apparel market of Middle East region.”
The first day of the event witnessed the presence of more than 140 buyers from leading retail chains such as Delta, Fox, Co op Israel, Matimli and Crazy line.
