NEW DELHI: In a bid to get the smaller cities’ airports revamped with the latest facilities, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) gets an approving nod from the government to take private sector’s help in arranging for all the facilities outside airports.
The facilities include lifestyle services, including hotels, car parking area among others and would initiate with 10 airports at present.
Reportedly, the tenders for 10 airports will be floated together and awarding them will take about 4-6 months. And, depending on the success of the 10 airports, tenders for the remaining airports will be floated after one year.
