NEW DELHI: The National Rural Development Summit being focused on rural services kicks off today here at The Lalit.
The two-day event, themed on Rural Services - The NEXT Growth Enabler, will highlight a significant transformation made by rural India.
The increasing number of businesses are integrating with the rural hinterland for sourcing and market expansion. Indian corporates are facing major capacity shortages in existing rural ecosystems and this compels them to look for either ad hoc solutions or for transfer of skilled people from urban to rural areas.
The summit is aimed to create a platform for deliberations and interactions with policy makers, key government representatives, industry leaders, multi-laterals and representatives from the Civil Society to discuss the issues and prospects the rural services sector has to offer.
