After a 14-month wait, the All India Congress Committee has finally constituted a 63-member PCC triggering resentment in party circles.
A 30-member executive committee and a 15-member election committee have also been set up.
The executive committee comprises office-bearers who are not members of the PCC.
With Assembly elections still 18 months away, three sitting MLAs, Kajal Das, Prakash Das and Ashok Debbarma, and former MLA and minister Jawahar Saha, have been left out of the PCC though Saha’s wife Chhaya has been chosen for a PCC slot.
Observers say, the 30-member executive committee comprises political non-entities.
