Tripura : Left parties elect new ADC chief

Veteran tribal leader and CPI(M) central committee member, Aghore Debbarma, will be the next chief executive member of Tripura’s Autonomous District Council (ADC). Elections to the council were completed on Wednesday.

The Left Front, in alliance with the National Socialist Party of Tripura (NSPT), made a clean sweep of all 28 elective seats in the tribal council for the first time in its history, surpassing the highest expectations of the leadership.
