Obama signs Pak aid Bill despite Islamabad’s reservations

President Barack Obama has signed into law the legislation that will provide $7.5 billion in US aid to Pakistan over the next five years. Obama signed the legislation on Oct. 14 after hectic jockeying by Pakistan Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmud Qureshi, who was rushed to Washington on a second visit within days, to secure assurances from Congress that the Bill does not trample on Pakistan’s sovereignty.
