A total of 360 members of the Dima Halam Daogah (Jewel Garlossa faction) formally deposited their arms at a ceremony at Haflong, headquarters of Assam’s North Cachar Hills district, on Friday, Oct. 2. They were led by their self-styled commander in chief Niranjan Hojai. The cadres handed over 148 weapons at the surrender ceremony.
