Minor cabinet reshuffle possible |

There are reports that the UPA may go in for a minor Cabi¬net reshuffle coinciding with the Vice Presidential election. On of the changes may be induction of Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman K. Rahman Khan as a Ministry of State with Independent charge.
Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Manishankar Aiyar who has been vocal with his protests against the Government policies, specially the effort to host the Asian Games, reports say, may shed the Sports and Youth Affairs Portfolio. He may be left with Panchayati Raj. Sports may go to a young face. There are also reports about the possible inclusion of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi’s daughter Kanimozhi, who was sworn in as a Rajya Sabha member last week, in the Union Council of Ministers.
With the minor Cabinet reshuffle, there are reports that at long last a decision may be taken about Rahul Gandhi being given the responsibility in the Congress party organisation, such as general secretary incharge of frontal organisations. His confidantes like Milind Deora and Sachin Pilot may also find a place in the organisational set up.
