Indian train service to Dhaka resumed after 43 years

A new chapter was opened in Indo-Bangladesh relations on April 14 when the Maitree [Friendship] Express rolled out of the Kolkata station on its inaugural journey to Dhaka, 406 kilometres away, after 43 years.
