India to sign Turkmenistan gas pipeline project; Pak told to drop IPI transit fee

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Murli Deora, is leading an Indian delegation to Pakistan to sign the agreement for the US-backed $3.5 billion Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India [TAPI] gas pipeline project at the invitation of the Asian Development Bank. The Steering Committee of the TAPI pipeline is meeting in Islamabad which will witness India formally joining the project.
