Chinese Premier keen to visit India |

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji, has said he is keen to visit New Delhi which would further stabilise good neighbourly relations between the two countries. He said this when India’s Deputy Chairperson of Rajya Sabha, Dr. Najma Heptullah, who was leading a 25-member parliamentary delegation to china, called on him on July 3. Official sources said, no date has been set for the visit which would be worked out through diplomatic channels.
The Indian delegation also called on Li Peng, Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee. They expressed satisfaction at the recent improvement in India-China relations. They expressed confidence that with the constitution of Parliamentary Friendship Groups on both sides, parliamentary exchanges between the two countries will be further enhanced. l
