With no sign of top leaders of the BJP finding a solution to the turmoil in the party over the leadership issue, the party national executive meeting, scheduled for Oct.28-29 has been postponed indefinitely. However, party leaders said that the meeting could now be held in the second or third week of November. The BJP parliamentary board meeting in New Delhi on Oct. 22, after the Assembly election results come in, may take a final decision on the next executive meeting.
Meanwhile, reports say that party leaders are still not agreed on forcing Rajasthan BJP leader Vasundhara Raje to quit as leader of the opposition in the state Assembly. The Parliamentary Board of the party had asked her to quit the position a couple of months back.
