In Bangladesh, the security of the Indian High Commissioner, Ranjan Chakrvarty, has been stepped up after he received a threat through e-mail. The Home Ministry and Police in Dhaka have refused to comment, but a media report said that the Al-Qaeda or the HuJI may be behind the e-mail threat. The activists of a little known “Lamp Post” tried to gate crash the Indian High Commission in the Gulshan area recently to protest against New Delhi’s stance on the maritime boundary dispute. ...
