‘Pro-Khalistan’ parade in Canada: India lodges protest

India has lodged a strong protest with the Government of Canada over letting “pro-Khalistan” Indo-Canadians organize a Baisakhi parade where former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassins were glorified in Canada and slogans were raised. The parade was attended by a few senior Canadian legislators of Indian origin, though they themselves may not be direct participants in “anti-India” activities.
